Terms of Service for Taranaut
Version 1. Effective from 30 October 2026.
These terms apply when you use Taranaut at taranaut.com and when you buy something there. We have tried to make them readable in five minutes. If anything is unclear, email us.
1. Who you are buying from

2. What Taranaut is
Taranaut is a web service where you draw tarot cards, on the site or with your own deck, and get an interpretation written by an AI. Tara is the name of the AI. Tara is not a human.
Readings are AI-generated entertainment and reflection. They are not predictions. The cards can give you a new way to think about a question, but they do not know what is going to happen.
Taranaut gives no health, legal or financial advice and does not replace medical care, therapy or other professional help. A reading cannot cure, relieve or treat any illness or condition, and it cannot help you win games of chance.
An AI can write things that are wrong, odd or that do not fit you. Do not make important decisions based only on a reading. Read more on the About the AI page.
3. Age
Taranaut is not intended for children under 13. You must be 18 or older to buy anything. You confirm this at checkout.
4. Free reading and account
You can get one free three-card reading per day without logging in.
To buy or save readings you log in with your Google account. You can delete your profile at any time with the Delete my profile button. Read section 5 about unused readings in a five-pack before you delete.

Year Spread 2027 is on sale from 26 December 2026 to 15 January 2027 inclusive.
All prices in Swedish kronor (SEK) are final prices and include 25% Swedish VAT. No fees are added. The price shown next to the buy button is what you pay.
If you buy from a country outside the EU, prices are shown in US dollars: USD 2.99, USD 9.99 and USD 14.99 respectively.
Our readings are electronically supplied services for VAT purposes. If our sales to consumers in other EU countries exceed EUR 10,000 per year, VAT may instead follow the buyer's country. The price you see is still always what you pay.
If we temporarily lower a price, we also show the lowest price that applied in the previous 30 days.
About the five-pack
The five-pack gives you five deep readings stored on your profile. They remain valid as long as your profile and Taranaut exist. If we shut the service down, we refund unused readings. If you delete your profile, unused readings disappear, so email us first if you want a refund for them.
6. How a purchase works
- You choose a product. The price is shown next to the button.
- You log in with Google if you are not already logged in.
- You tick the box about immediate delivery (see section 8) and the box confirming you are 18 or older. Neither box is pre-ticked.
- You click the button that shows the amount, for example Pay SEK 29 and get your reading, and pay by card with Stripe. Until then you can go back, change or cancel.
- The reading is delivered immediately. You get a confirmation email with a receipt, a VAT breakdown and these terms.
We keep a record of your purchase (see the privacy policy). These terms are always available at taranaut.com/terms, and they are included in your confirmation email so you can keep them. The contract can be concluded in Swedish or English.
7. Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland). You pay by card. We never see your full card number. Your card is charged when you click the pay button at Stripe.
There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. Every purchase is a one-off purchase.
8. Right of withdrawal, and why it does not apply when the reading is delivered immediately
When you buy online you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content delivered immediately there is an exception in chapter 2, section 11, point 11 of the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (lagen (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler). The exception only applies if all three of the following are met:
- You have expressly consented to delivery starting immediately.
- You have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
- We have confirmed this to you by email.
At checkout you do this by ticking a box yourself with this text:
I request that the reading is delivered immediately and expressly consent to the supply starting now. I understand and accept that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal under chapter 2, section 11, point 11 of the Swedish Distance Contracts Act.
You cannot pay without ticking the box. Right after the purchase you get a confirmation email stating that you consented to immediate delivery and that you have no right of withdrawal.
If we were to miss any of the three steps, for example if you do not receive the confirmation, you keep your right of withdrawal. In that case, under chapter 2, section 15 a, you do not have to pay for what has already been delivered.
Five-pack: The same consent applies, because the five readings are added to your profile immediately. Regardless, we always refund unused readings if you ask within 14 days of purchase.
Year Spread 2027: The whole reading with all twelve cards is delivered immediately at purchase, so the same consent applies.
9. If something goes wrong
You have rights under the Swedish Act on Contracts for Digital Content and Digital Services between Traders and Consumers (lagen (2022:260)). If a reading is not delivered, stops halfway, comes out empty or unreadable because of a technical fault, we will deliver a new reading or refund you.
A reading that does not match how things later turned out is not a fault. Readings are not predictions.
Email hej@taranaut.com as soon as you notice the problem. Tell us which email you logged in with and roughly when you bought.
10. Refunds
Refunds are handled manually. Email hej@taranaut.com and a human will reply.
Launch guarantee: For purchases made up to and including 31 January 2027, we refund the full amount if you ask within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. You do not need to explain why.
After that, we always refund technical faults, double charges and unused five-pack readings within 14 days. Other cases we assess generously, one at a time.
The money goes back to the same card via Stripe. It usually takes 5 to 10 banking days to show up in your account.
The refund rules in this section are voluntary and come on top of your statutory rights. They never limit them.
11. If we cannot agree
Contact us first and we will try to sort it out.
If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, www.arn.se. We follow ARN's recommendations.
ARN only hears disputes above a certain value. For services like ours the threshold is currently SEK 750, which means a single reading is usually below it. You must file with ARN within one year of first complaining to us. You can also always go to a general court.
If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help (for Sweden: Konsument Europa, konsumenteuropa.se).
12. Your personal data
How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy. In short: your readings are stored in your browser unless you choose to save them to your profile.
13. How you may use Taranaut
Readings are for your personal use. You are welcome to save and share them.
You may not use Taranaut to scrape content in bulk, try to make the AI write harmful or illegal content, get around the free limit, or resell readings. We may block anyone who does.
Please avoid entering other people's full names, ID numbers or other details that identify them. A good reading does not need them.
14. Liability
We are liable for the service in accordance with mandatory consumer law. Because readings are entertainment and reflection, we are not liable for decisions you make based on them. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent, gross negligence or anywhere else the law does not allow it.
15. If we change or close the service
We may change how Taranaut works. If we close the service, we will email everyone with a profile at least 30 days in advance and refund unused readings.
16. Governing law
Swedish law governs these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version applies to purchases made after it is published. A purchase you have already made always follows the terms that applied when you bought. We will email everyone with a profile about significant changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
