About the AI

You are talking to an AI, not a human.

Tara is the name of Taranaut's AI. Tara is not a person, not a medium and not a flesh-and-blood tarot reader. Every reading on Taranaut is written by an AI system and is labelled as AI-generated.

Which AI it is

Readings are written by Claude, a language model from the US company Anthropic. We built the instructions, the card descriptions and the structure of the reading. Anthropic built the model.

What the AI does

• It interprets the cards you drew, on the site or with your own deck, in relation to your question.
• It looks at how the cards connect, their positions and whether they are reversed.
• It suggests something concrete you can think about or do.
• It switches to a gentler mode and shows support lines if your question is about, for example, grief, illness or self-harm.

What the AI does not do

• It does not predict the future. A reading is an interpretation for reflection and entertainment, not a prediction.
• It has no contact with the spirit world or with people who have died.
• It gives no health, legal or financial advice, and it cannot cure or treat anything.
• It cannot help you win games of chance.
• It does not know you. It only knows what you write in your question and which cards you drew.
• It does not learn from your questions. Your readings are never used to train any AI model.

AI can be wrong and can sound more certain than it is. Trust your own judgement.
