Upright
Things are speeding up. The Eight of Wands shows eight staffs in flight, and in your question it points toward quick news, sudden movement, or something that has been stuck finally coming loose. Go with it. This is no time to hesitate, but to respond, act and let the momentum carry you.
Reversed
Things are moving too fast, or not at all. Perhaps you are in a hurry and deciding before you have thought it through, or you are waiting for news that keeps being delayed. The Eight of Wands reversed asks you to handle the pace wisely. What is late may need a little more time, and what rushes may need braking.
