Upright
You do not have to invent everything yourself. The Hierophant points toward what has been tested: a teacher, a tradition, a community that shares your values. In your question, it may be wise to seek guidance from someone who has walked this way before, or to trust the rituals and habits that have truly carried you.
Reversed
The rules you follow may no longer be your own. The Hierophant reversed asks whether you are living by expectations you have outgrown, from family, work or a group you belong to. It may be time to question them, without throwing everything away. Keep what still rings true for you and release the rest.
