The Hanged Man
- pause
- surrender
- new perspective
- waiting
Upright
Sometimes you move forward by stopping the struggle. The Hanged Man hangs still and sees the world upside down, and that is exactly why he sees something new. In your question, a pause may give more than yet another attempt. Let go of needing to solve everything at once. The perspective gained by waiting is worth it.
Reversed
Waiting has turned into being stuck. Perhaps you are sacrificing yourself for something that gives nothing back, or postponing a decision indefinitely and calling it patience. The Hanged Man reversed asks what you are holding on to out of habit alone. Sometimes it is time to turn right side up and walk on.
